Social

Corning fully expects our suppliers to uphold fundamental human rights. To that end, Corning has implemented policies related to forced labor, human trafficking and responsible minerals (including conflict minerals) and to the protection of the health and safety of workers. Our goal for ourselves, and our suppliers, is to be good corporate citizens in the communities in which we operate.

Environmental

We are committed to reducing the impact of our supply chain on the environment through oversight of, and collaboration with, our supply partners. We focus on reducing our own carbon footprint and that of our suppliers by advancing energy saving and waste reduction policies throughout the supply chain.

Governance

Corning provides corporate oversight for supply chain social responsibility through corporate officers, such as the Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain, as well as other key leaders and corporate councils. The Corporate Relations Committee Charter has oversight for sustainability, supply chain and human rights.?To influence, policy, measure and document progress, and share best practices, Corning actively participates in key international organizations.

Corning leverages digitalization to enable a strategic and socially responsible supply chain. Tools are used to monitor for social and environmental risks, enabling us to drive continuous improvement and sustainable change.?

Accountability

Corning employs robust systems and processes to ensure accountability and compliance throughout our supply chain. Accountability begins with a rigorous onboard process, followed by stringent due diligence throughout the entire contract lifecycle by our supply chain professionals, which allows for early risk identification and mitigation.

Supplier Responsibility

Our supplier policies, standards and guidelines support the delivery of responsibly sourced, world-class products. Supply chain partners have access to the Supplier Code of Conduct, Statement on Human Trafficking, Conflict Minerals policy, as well as, other key legal and onboarding documents, and processes which outline our expectations of suppliers.
